genieX Launches Its First-Ever Exclusive TechToast 2026 Event

Last March 5, 2026, at Yes Please, genieX hosted its very first TechToast 2026, an exclusive gathering created not to sell, but to connect.

In an industry that constantly demands speed, innovation, and results, genieX carved out a different kind of space for its retail and F&B partners, one where they could pause, reflect, and recharge.

TechToast 2026 was designed to give clients the opportunity to step back from their day-to-day challenges, explore current AI trends, and gain valuable insights from industry experts, all while enjoying a relaxed evening of meaningful conversations and celebration.

Because at genieX, we believe we are more than just a digital transformation partner. We are a partner for life, committed to building lasting relationships, enriching connections, and growing alongside our clients.

A Gathering of Retail and F&B Leaders

The event brought together key decision-makers and innovators from across the retail industry, including cosmetics, food and beverage, fast food, fashion and apparel, and sports sectors.

With the support of our valued sponsors, CTC Solutions, Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines, and Euronet Worldwide, the evening delivered both substance and experience.

Hosted by Mr. Joni Domingo of JDC Solution, the event seamlessly blended insightful discussions with a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.

The evening opened with welcoming remarks from Mr. Jett Nava, Director for Customer Success at genieX.

He set the tone for the night by emphasizing that TechToast was not about presentations or selling solutions, but about creating a space where clients could openly share challenges, exchange ideas, and build stronger partnerships.

“We come together not to sell, but to inspire, connect, and open doors for learning within our community.”

Beyond Hyper-Personalization: The Future of AI in Retail

The first session was led by Mr. Sherwin Pelayo, Executive Director of the Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines.

In his talk, “Beyond Hyper-Personalization: Designing AI-Native Retail & F&B Experiences for 2027,” he challenged attendees to rethink how AI will shape the future of retail.

Moving beyond traditional personalization, Mr. Pelayo introduced the concept of AI-native experiences, where systems are designed to anticipate customer needs, automate decision-making, and create seamless, intuitive interactions across the entire customer journey.

It was a powerful reminder that the future of retail lies not just in adopting technology, but in designing experiences that feel human, intelligent, and effortless at scale.

Collaboration in Action: Energizing Ideas

To keep the energy high, attendees participated in an interactive whiteboard activity designed to spark creativity and collaboration.

This session encouraged participants to share real-world challenges, exchange insights, and collectively explore solutions while adding a fun twist with exciting prizes for participants.

More than just an activity, it became a moment of connection where ideas flowed freely and perspectives were broadened.

The second session was delivered by Mr. Manuel San Andres, Director at Euronet Worldwide.

His talk on Retail and Payment Trends and Innovation focused on what truly matters to modern retailers:

  • Enhancing merchant operational efficiency
  • Elevating customer experience through seamless payment systems
  • Driving innovation within a unified Retail Vision Roadmap

With a strong emphasis on practical applications, the session highlighted how businesses can optimize operations while unlocking new opportunities within an integrated ecosystem.

Balancing the insightful sessions, the evening took a lively turn with a stand-up comedy performance by Mr. Leland Lim, one of the stand-up comedians from Comedy Manila and host of the Walang Edit Edit podcast.

His set brought laughter across the room, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere that allowed attendees to unwind and connect beyond business conversations.

It served as a reminder that beyond strategies and systems, meaningful connections are often built through shared experiences and sometimes a well-timed punchline.

From Insights to Celebration

To close the formal program, Mr. Ravenal Joson, Retail Director at genieX, delivered an energizing message:

“We’ve finished our program, but the night is just getting started.”

With that, the event transitioned into a vibrant social night, moving from structured discussions to relaxed conversations over drinks, music, and celebration.

With raffles, networking, and an upbeat atmosphere, the night continued to foster deeper connections among attendees.

More Than an Event: A Shared Journey

TechToast 2026 was not about products or sales pitches.

It was about creating a meaningful experience where clients could:

  • Pause and reflect on their current challenges
  • Gain insights from industry experts
  • Connect with fellow retail leaders
  • Strengthen relationships beyond business transactions

At genieX, we believe that true digital transformation goes beyond technology and is built on trust, collaboration, and long-term partnership.

TechToast 2026 stands as a testament to that commitment.

We are not just here to provide solutions. We are here to grow with you.

Your partner in growth.
